Crafting has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child I explored any craft that was accessible. Making then took a back seat during my time at university and first years at work. After arriving in Canada several years ago, I found myself unoccupied and returned to craft in order to keep busy and productive. It was then that I discovered ceramics. In Montreal's Visual Arts Center, I had the opportunity to study wheel throwing with Audrey Killoran and Olaf de Winter. Following a move to Toronto, I continued to learn as a student at Woodlawn Pottery Studio and subsequently as a member.
My ceramics are mostly functional but often decorative. I am enjoying an exploration of surface design. I am strongly influenced by traditional geometric design and love graphic black and white motifs.
