April Martin

April Martin is an artist who lives and works in Toronto. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago using clay, metal and silk in her sculptures. She has exhibited internationally at venues including Rome, Switzerland, Minneapolis, Los Angeles. Her work puts pressure on definitions of art and craft. As a resident at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto, her clay explorations led her to the potters wheel where she became instantly obsessed.

Her textile work will be exhibited at Craft Ontario in Summer 2026.
