About Our Multi-Week Classes

For Beginner Potters
For those new (or newish) to clay, the class focus will be on material exploration, experimenting with the core techniques in clay: pinching, coiling, slab-rolling and building, wheel throwing and trimming, and glazing. Demos and hands-on activities will give everyone a chance to explore processes and develop a small number of take-home products.

For Intermediate Potters
Our classes also cater to those familiar with clay who want to develop their technique and their skill repertoire. Intermediate students generally work independently on projects of their own choosing, supported by demos, exercises, and instruction as needed. Intermediate students often explore new forms and surface decoration (e.g., coloured slips, texture, glazing techniques) and have a chance to refine their work.
